Region
New York-based collagist Fred Tomaselli (b. 1956, United States) is an artist and avid collector. A graduate of the drawing and painting department at California State University (Fullerton), Tomaselli is best known for his collage paintings on resin-coated wood panels that allow the viewer a window into another world. He scours newspapers, fashion magazines, field guides, botanical and anatomical illustrations for an array of images that he reappropriates into his psychedelic, vivid landscapes. He lives and works in Brooklyn.
